Estonia study visa

If you want to apply, we will talk about that same process in this chapter today. So let’s start.
So first of all, we will talk about why Estonia. Estonia’s education system is very good. In 2022, a survey was done where Estonia came in the top rank in the education system. And second thing, Estonia is also called the Silicon Valley of Europe, it is called an IT hub because this is a country that is very good in IT, very good in startups. And Estonia is also called e-Estonia because everything is digital here. Even the online voting started in Estonia. Here it means you can even vote online sitting at home. You do not need to go anywhere.
So now we will talk about universities— which universities are there where you can apply. Here mainly four to five universities are there where you can apply.
The first is Tartu University, which is ranked in the top 350 universities in the world. And after that, the second is TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology.
The third is Tallinn University.
And these three universities are public; you can apply here.
And the fourth is Estonian Business School. If you specifically want to do business-related studies, this is a private university, but this Estonian Business School is there.
And the fifth is Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, where you can apply.
So you can go to the Study in Estonia website, click on Study, and you can see your courses—Bachelor programs, Masters, Doctoral, and short courses. Here you can see which programs are there, which university offers them, and what the charges are. If you are in the EU area or non-EU area, then what are your differences and how much money you will spend.
For example, the main course—if you are taking Business Administration from the University of Tartu—it is €4200. If you have a question, you can go to admissions@… and email them.
If you click on Apply Here, then for this program or course, you will get the full information. You can see here that one year costs €4200. And you will also know that €100 is the application fee, a one-time fee. So you will get all the information about this course from here.
If you go again to that website, you can see other universities too — for example, Tallinn University of Technology has a Cyber Security course, how much money it will cost, etc. You will see many more universities and you will know how much money you will need and how many years the course will be.
Now we will talk about the application process. If you want to take any course in any university, what is the process — now we will talk about that.
First of all, the application is filled on DreamApply. In that, you have to make a motivation letter—a very good one. You have to describe why you want to take this study, what benefits you can get from it, what your motivation is — you have to properly write the motivation letter and submit it in the application.
And then your education documents—whatever you have studied earlier—will be required. Your passport will be required. And your IELTS bands will be required; the IELTS certificate will be required. If you have done your studies in an English-speaking country like the UK or USA, then you don't need IELTS. But if you have done your studies in a country where the main language is not English, even if you studied everything in English, still you need IELTS requirement.
After your application is submitted, the professors will take a technical test or an online interview, depending on your course. You will either get an online interview or a technical test. Many times, like for the Cyber Security program at Tartu University, they first give a technical test and then an interview. You have to clear these to go to the next step.
If you pass this interview or technical test—whatever your course requires—then after that you get the final offer letter. If you accept the offer letter, then you have to send your documents by post to the university.
And the last step is payment and final acceptance. If you have paid, and the university has received the payment, and they have accepted it, then it means your process is complete and now you can go to the Estonian Embassy and apply for your D Visa.
