How can you get Portugal's job seeker visa?
Regarding Portugal guys, you know that the file lock system which used to be there — the easy immigration one — that’s finished now. Today I will tell you about that — what its requirements are, what documents are needed in it, how much processing time it takes, and for whom this visa is meant.
So, the Job Seeker Visa — as the name suggests — it is a visa for when you want to go to Portugal and look for a job there, and find an employer for yourself, and then based on that, get TRC there. So for this visa, at the start you should have — meaning if you take TRC on this base (employment base), then you’ll have this Job Seeker Visa, right? So you can enter there and look for a job yourself. You get quite some time to look for a job there, okay.
So this visa — its requirements and required documents — I’ll tell you now. Some documents you need from Portugal and some you need from your own country where you live.
So right now, for various reasons, we have gotten a hard time from the embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, and we are not getting appointments, because of which I recommend that if you are outside Pakistan somewhere — like in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey, or Malaysia, then there it will be relatively easy to get appointments.

But from the Pakistan embassy, appointments are not available even on that system. Now the documents required in this: you need your passport, photographs, police character certificate (attested by Foreign Affairs), and in addition, if you have education, then those documents are needed.
Besides that, you need a return ticket and insurance for the Schengen area.
Now why is a return ticket needed? People will say — a return ticket is needed because if you don’t get a job, then you can return. It’s just for showing in the visa process, okay.
So these are your documents.
Now which documents are needed from Portugal: for job seeker visa, for employment, you need a declaration issued by the government — our lawyer there will obtain that for you — and besides that, you need a tax number from there. That also the lawyer will obtain for you on your behalf. The lawyer will take a power of attorney from you, okay.
So those documents she will obtain from there, and from here you will submit the rest, then together they will prepare your online application and then submit it, and then they will get you an appointment from the embassy, okay.
Then your visa will be processed, and if you are outside Pakistan, hopefully the appointment will come quickly.
So you can estimate that this visa process takes two to three months or maximum four months total — from preparation to getting the visa.
After that, you go to Portugal and apply there for TRC, so you get TRC there, okay.
And in this, your own bank account in your country should have around 2,550 euros per month, okay — meaning if you are giving three months’ bank statement, then around 7,500 euros should be in your bank. You have to show this so that while you are searching for a job, you can bear your own expenses there. This is for that purpose. So this is also a requirement — you will give a bank statement showing enough money so you can survive there initially, okay.
